Frome Lions to climb Mount Everest

Frome Lions have often supported RUH Bath Forever Friends over the past 20 years and given the strains on our health service at the moment, it’s time to do so again.

The Forever Friends Appeal is the fundraising charity of the Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath and raises vital funds to support a range of innovative projects and capital redevelopments. Charitable funds raised by our supporters unlock the very best in modern healthcare for our catchment population of more than half a million people across Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire – going above and beyond the remit of the NHS.

So, across April & May six Lions – Steve Cantrell, Adam Kotyrba, Bev Windley, Greg Wood, Sean McCabe & Chris Bailey-Green – will be climbing Everest in two teams…by going up their stairs a lot of times – socially distanced of course !

Mount Everest is 8,848 metres high and that is a lot of flights of stairs – something like 50 flights a day for 2 months per team.
