The lights on the Lions Club of Frome Tree of Remembrance shone over the Christmas Period.
The Tree is erected each year by the Lions, & enables individuals or families to sponsor a light in memory of a loved one or cause at this special time of year and in turn help the Lions to raise funds to support worthy charitable causes in and around Frome.
The Christmas tree is erected in front of Rook Lane Chapel on Bath Street, & this year the usual blessing took place by the Reverend Colin Horn, which was followed by the singing of Christmas Carols, with the Frome Town Band providing the musical accompaniment.
A record number of people attended & afterwards enjoyed mince pies & mulled wine.
The total raised this year was just under £1100, & this is earmarked to support only local good causes.
