Frome Lions enter their 50th year

Lions have been supporting Frome and its surrounding villages for 50 years this year.  The Club was started informally in September 1966 and was officially Chartered in March 1967.   More info

The postponed Sponsored Swim took place on Sunday 16th October at the Frome Leisure Centre Pool. Twenty teams took part and raised an estimated £4000 for charity.  Thank you and well done to all our swimmers. More info

A place at the 2017 Sporting Dinner for Ladies and Gentlemen on 17th January can now be reserved.  The Guest Speaker is Mr Rugby, Bill Beaumont. More info

The 2016 Haybale collection where local farmers donate a bale of hay that we can sell for  our charity funds is now completed. Thank you to all the farmers who participated.  More info

 The 2016 Lions Golf Day at Orchardleigh Golf Course, in aid of 'The Children's Hospice SW', which took place on Friday 13th May was a great success. Thanks to the generosity of the contestants we were able to contribute £4000 to the hospice.  The cheque presentation was made at Orchardleigh on Friday 30th July.  More info and pictures

In a joint operation with Westbury Lions we provided service at the CliveyFest at Dilton March in July.

We were in the Blue House Gardens recently as we provided refreshments as part of the Frome Festival. More info

Our annual Fete took place in Victoria Park on Saturday 11th June. It was a popular event enjoyed by many people and contributed about £500 to our Lions charity funds.   More info
